HEELLOO :D

I changed thy blogskin but thy concept stil thy same , Plain =\ Done blame k , because i can't find any blogskin that suits us .. And i get sick of thy previous one .. I wanted to change it long time ago but due to school and fan-craz and blahblahblah , but now its changed ~ ! *claps*

Found out alot alot of shocking news regarding CO now .. Like thy awards we achieve , like how weak CO is now etc .. I know , everything is going to be over already right ? Please CO , hold on there can , please ? Please , i know CO can do it one .. Come to practice more often , be more serious during practice .. We build it strong so far , its pointless to see it ruin totally right ?

I'm upset . I guess everyone is upset , i mean those who concerns ... But no point upset now right ? Since things have ended like this . When come to think of this again now , i really feel upset , feel so disappointed ..
~~I'm a useless senior because i can't do anything to help CO~~

Just hope that CO can hold on .. Be better then last time .. Well , at least make it to next SYF .. I know we can , because we are TWSSCO♥ right ? If things really end now .... we will regret .. Yes i know CO members will regret .. Especially those who put in efforts and always support CO til end .. Don't regret at anything now or in future , its really pain to regret things . We need your support, regardless you are alumni or current TWSSCO students. We are planning to have a CO concert at the end of year 2009. We need you to join us to perform in this concert.

We are not sure whether it’ll be the last performance of TWSS CO, we just wish that we could together create a beautiful memory for CO.

If you are keen in joining us to perform in this special concert, please leave a message at the tagbox. We need to have adequate number of performers in order to hold this concert. Below are the rough details about this concert:

We wouldnt disband if we unite. We still got time to improve and give our very best okay. I will be there on SYF to support one! We seniors are watching over you all! Dont too stress by Co! Study still very important okay!

I believe this is not thy end of our cca's fate. We still have more to go, we still have more to have.

Last but not least, takecare health is thy most important than everything! Sec4 seniors better dont stress too much. I know Co is important, study is important. But if you dont have energy for these things, you are just merely wasting time. So, better take good care of yourself. Safety come first!

HELLO!! MSG FROM NELSON!

Hi members of TWSSCO!! Nelson Alumni is here today to post.

Members, all of you are not really that bad! If everyone could come for practices regularly, all of you will surely make it for the syf. I actually see improvements in all of you!

As a senior who is in this orchestra for the 6th year (ARHH I SO OLD!! D=), i really felt that the standard of my generation compared to now is the same. In fact, i see more talented pp now compared to last time!

During my batch when we got sliver, the songs that we played were actually easier than what you all were practicing now. The songs that you all are practicing currently have more running notes, longer duration, harder coordination and etc.

Now, the question is -

Other pp might say, "wah! Last time CO got sliver, now CO gt bronze only. The orchestra become lousy already la!"

I THINK THIS IS NOT TRUE AT ALL.

During my batch, there were problems too. Problems like - not wanting to attend CO, like to pon, always said they wanted to quit CO, can't play the songs well and etc. Same problems as what the CO had now! In fact, the number of pp who don't like CO during that time was more than what it is now.

I was so delighted to hear that some CO members liked TWSSCO! During my batch, hardly there would be anyone who said they liked CO. For me, it was only after my last SYF that i started to like it.

Seniors always tend to feel that they are better, and the juniors are lousier than them. This kind of thing happens in any cases. I heard people from my batch saying that the batch after us was lousy. I heard from violet's batch saying the new batch after them was not good. I heard from yeeling's batch about the CO not wanting to practice hard.

AGAIN, IS OUR CO REALLY THAT BAD??!

NO!

All of you where got become lousier and lousier? Believe me! The standards of the orchestra really didn't change so much!!

Now, i hope that everyone will try to gain more bonding with one another! Chinese orchestra needs everyone to be bonded together in order to make nice music.

In every CCAs there will always be someone who wants to quit or doesn't like the CCA. This always happens. Teachers and leaders always uses force to keep them back. I am sure that if every member are best friend with one another inside the orchestra, the whole orchestra will be more bonded and they will not leave so easily.

Make friends with everyone! Love your members!

HEY! i said these things to encourage you all! Not as an excuse to say its ok not to come! Please come practice everytime hor!! If not as a alumni senior, i go 打 your 屁股!

This is in reply to Liting’s comments. I can only ask if you have answered the questions in my earlier post. If you have answered them and still have this mind set, then I can only say that your level of maturity is that low. Let me cite some examples, lets say for example some people witnessed a murder and they didn’t report the murder to the police as they don’t have the heart to do so. Wouldn’t the murderer go scot free? So this means that we learn to be irresponsible kids and grow up to be irresponsible adults? Our society would then be destroyed in no time if people with the same mindset as you, always thinking that the witness to the murder will only help if he/she has the heart to do so? Another example would be some people saw an escaped terrorist and let’s say they don’t have the heart to report it. Would this help make Singapore a safer place? Using the same idea, would the CO improve? As Mr Lee told us during lunchtime today, TWSSCO is the CO with the worst behavior in Singapore. Therefore I’m really disappointed to see that you have this naïve mindset. Also, “one day when they grow up they'll knw .” by the time they grow up. It would all be too late for regrets as our competition would have long passed and the opportunity long gone. As the president of the CO, should you think in such a way? Shouldn’t you be trying make yourself the role model for others to follow? At the very least I do see Wei Xiang enforcing the rules. Do you? A leader should always lead by example and not by sitting back and thinking everything will fall into place nicely one day. You may say that being a leader isn’t an easy task but since you have been selected, do make the best of your term as the president of CO. As the president of the CO, everyone looks up to you for guidance. With regard to your “shun qi zi ran ba” if we were to let nature run its course, then when will we see results? Take for example, the current economic crisis. Are the governments letting the crisis run its course? NO as letting it run its course means more people out of jobs and poorer people. May I also know what your immediate plans are for the CO in enforcing the rules? If there isn’t any and that the rules are not going to be enforced in your term, then what the committee came together to do in the 1st quarter of the year has all came to naught. Then I would rather prefer to have the rules abolished if you decide to let things run its course as there simply isn’t any point in keeping them as they have long lost their use. Members that have been absent for long periods of time may have their personal reasons for not coming, would it not be better if you found out what the reasons are instead of bemoaning that they are always absent? Has the CO achieved its intended goals for the year? The way I and a few others see it, the CO has not even had much progress in the areas such as discipline and teamwork. The facts are all in front of us and it is up to you to see it not avoid it. I sincerely hope that you changed your thinking for the sake of the Chinese Orchestra and do a wonderful job during your term as president.

Reflecting on the series of events today during combine makes me ask a question. Are we really an orchestra that is able to cooperate together? Reflecting on the series of events today during combine makes me ask a question. Are we really an orchestra that is able to work together? I thus answer my own question. the answer is no, It really worries me to see that our co is that selfish. During every combine we have, I always notice the same group of people e.g. Arena, Jin yang and a few others arranging the tables and chairs. So where or what are the others doing? Is our co only made up of this few? It simply comes down to the fact that we are selfish and that we always take for granted that someone will do the job. Since we are unable to work as a team, how then can we even play quality music together? Why can't everyone stay back for like 5 minutes and help out? This is only fair that everyone helps out. If we can't even work together for such a simple task then we should not call ourselves teckwhyesec chinese orchestra as an orchestra is a group that works together not by being selfish! I simply have lots to say but I feel I need to point this fact out to everyone reading this. We can't simply depend on these people to do the work. What happens when these people retire next year? Will the CO remain selfish? Then who will do the job of arranging the tables and chairs after this group of people have gone? It worries me even further as the co will be going on an overseas trip next month and that we will show outsiders that are CO is like that, Selfish and conceited people. I found the definition or orchestra on the net. Here it is. A large group of musicians who play together on various instruments, usually including strings, woodwinds, brass instruments, and percussion. “Play together” means working together. Do we? Can all CO members ask themselves this question? Are we working together as an orchestra? If we do not work together as an orchestra, then we can never progress together but rather, individually. This equates to no progress at all for the CO. I remember that in the 1st quarter of the year that the committee came together to create rules to keep our CO disciplined. Where are the rules now? In the rubbish bin? Simple rules like No sweet drinks, No talking when Mr Ngoh is talking, No usage of mobile phones. and such... Are the rules still in place? If they are, then i'm sure that this rules are not enforced now. I see Mr ngoh getting agitated almost every combine recently. To my knowledge, his health isn't that great. Or rather to everyone’s knowledge, we all know that his health isn’t very good. I personally feel that it would be beneficial to his health if he doesn't have keep telling us to keep quiet and consequently getting very agitated. So in this area that the committee set out to fix was discipline. Correct me if I’m wrong. Have we then progressed much in this aspect? Have we? The year is coming to an end and directly after the competition next year the seniors will be leaving and the baton is once again passed down to the present juniors. I worry that the CO will not be able to continue after next year as there is simply no teamwork and that the rules are blatantly flouted once and again. CAN THE WHOLE CO REFLECT ON HOW MUCH THE CO HAS PROGRESSED DURING THIS YEAR? WHETHER THERE IS TEAMWORK OR DISCIPLINE WITHIN OUR CO? I will end here and my wish is that everyone reflects on the questions and answer themselves truthfully.

Sorry that I didnt update the blog for a long time as I was too busy.
There's a few things that I would like to address here. So, dont ignore this post though it's not really important.
Firstly, about the matter that is being mentioned on Monday by Mr. Codeiro, I'm terribly sorry about it. I sincerely apologize but pls dont allow this matter to affect you. NEVER EVER! I know that everyone felt a little being disgraced but it's okayy, you can show to the rest that you are not what think of by boosting up your confidence and do your very best for the public concert.Okayy? JIAYOU,everyone!!(:

For those who got involved, CHEERUP!(: What is done is done, as long as you learnt your mistakes and never do it again.It'll be over soon. SMILE!

Secondly, there will be a full dress rehearsal on 2pm to 6pm. Pls inform your parents. Pls remember to bring along your costume, I dont wish to see anyone forgetting to bring their costume. The rehearsal will be at Singapore Poly Convention Hall. As for the tickets, I think you all will order from teachers in charge. I'm not too sure. For further details of the rehearsal, wait and take note of what Ms Lai or Mr. Ong say.

Thirdly, WHO HAVENT PAY THAT 18 DOLLARS?? If no one is going to own up, everyone of you will have to pay 30 cents. That person pls own up!!

Lastly, pls remember to bring your costume tmr to let Liting they all check.

Before I post about the rules, I would like to make an announcement to the COMMITEE MEMBERS!
Pls finish up your stockcheck by next week.Also copy a set for me.Pls & Thankyou!(:

RULES
1.MUST BE punctual for all practices.
1st offence: Warning from teachers or other commitee members.
2nd offence: Clean up the music room
3rd offence: Detention.
4th offence: Punishment given by teacher-in-charge.
*If you know that you are going to be late due to something,pls fill in the late coming form before hand & pass it to teacher.

2.Absentees are to produce an MC or a parent's letter when they return to school.
3.Start preparing 30 minutes before the practice starts.
4.NO using of handphones and MP3. People who are caught using it will be confiscated by teachers or the commitee members.
5.NO food and drinks are allowed in the music room. Drinks are to be finished outside the room or thrown away immediately.
6.NO reading of comics.
7.NO doing of homework.
8.NO one is allowed to leave the music room during practice unless:
-We are given a break or,
-Mr. Ngoh gives the permission to leave.
9.Arrange all tables and chairs to their original position and empty the dustbin after all practices.
10.Members MUST report to the Quarter Master[Jian Xiang/Gary] if they want to loan their instruments.

* Pls maintain silence at all times,especially when Mr. Ngoh is conducting or when teaching other sections.

MOST IMPORTANTLY,
pls ABIDE by the rules to make CO better for everyone.ThankYou.
